Initial Genital herpes is treated with 200 mg 5 times a day for 10 days. Recurrent disease treatment may require chronic suppressive therapy with 400 mg 2 times a day for 12 months.
Chickenpox in adults is treated with 800 mg 4 times a day for 5 days. Chickenpox in children older than 2 years and under 40 kg of weight is treated with 20mg/kg 4 times a day for 5 days.

What are Zovirax side effects?
Zovirax is usually well tolerated, though in some patients it may develop nausea, vomiting diarrhea and a general ill feeling.
